Glenn Roark started his company, Roark Forestry LLC, in December 2020, but he's worked in various aspects of the industry for decades. "I graduated from Mississippi State University with a forestry degree in 1983, and I've been been in it since then," he said.

Upon graduation, the Demopolis native immediately went to work for a wood dealer, marking and buying timber. Eventually, he went to work for a family-owned sawmill company, purchasing logs for the mill and helping manage its 70,000 acres of land. After that, he went to work for another company that acquired timberland. For the nearly 14 years prior to starting his own company, he worked for Campbell Global. With each job change, he tackled various roles and responsibilities within the industry, diverse experience that prepared him to start his own consulting firm. "I have been really fortunate throughout my career to stay in west central Alabama," Roark said. "I've also been blessed to see so many aspects of the industry, which really provides a unique perspective."
