Growing up in rural Elmore County, being outside and working the land was a part of life for Randy Jarzyniecki. Even cutting down trees was a hobby for him, so it was only natural for him to pursue a degree in forestry. While working toward his degree at Auburn University, Jarzyniecki took the opportunity to pursue some other interests, including working as a wildland firefighter, which required him to make some trips out West, as well as competing in Stihl Timbersports and timbersport competitions. After winning a competition in Mississippi, Jarzyniecki even got the opportunity to tour around the world while participating in timber sport competitions.

After a few other jobs post-college, including many years working for another consultant, Jarzyniecki decided it was the right time to start his own firm, Pine Belt Forestry, which offers clients complete forest management services to achieve their individual goals. Though based in Thomasville, Georgia, Jarzyniecki also manages property in Alabama and across the Southeast. "I enjoy the process of seeing a piece of property come full circle," he said.
