Editor's Note: Here are some questions you may consider
asking yourself and others. Should the state provide
recreational activity property? Is recreation a
necessary service? Does the state need more public land
to compete with recreational opportunities (many of
which are already) provided by private forestland
owners? Does the acquisition of more public land, that
does not pay taxes, put
pressure on private landowners to (eventually) pay more
in taxes?
Is it not correct that Forever Wild property (over
284,813 acres as of November 15, 2022) does not pay property taxes?

Editor's Note: Here are some questions you may consider
asking yourself and others. Should the state provide
recreational activity property? Is recreation a
necessary service? Does the state need more public land
to compete with recreational opportunities (many of
which are already) provided by private forestland
owners? Does the acquisition of more public land, that
does not pay taxes, put
pressure on private landowners to (eventually) pay more
in taxes?
Forever Wild consists of over
284,813 acres as of November 15, 2022, the most recent
update on their website. How much is enough?

Editor's Note: Here are some questions you may consider
asking yourself and others. Should the state provide
recreational activity property? Is recreation a
necessary service? Does the state need more public land
to compete with recreational opportunities (many of
which are already) provided by private forestland
owners? Does the acquisition of more public land, that
does not pay taxes, put
pressure on private landowners to (eventually) pay more
in taxes?
Forever Wild consists of over
284,813 acres as of November 15, 2022, the most recent
update on their website. How much government owned land is enough?

Editor's Note: Here are some questions you may consider
asking yourself and others. Should the state provide
recreational activity property? Is recreation a
necessary service? Does the state need more public land
to compete with recreational opportunities (many of
which are already) provided by private forestland
owners? Does the acquisition of more public land, that
does not pay taxes, put
pressure on private landowners to (eventually) pay more
in taxes?
Forever Wild consists of over
284,813 acres as of November 15, 2022, the most recent
update on their website. How much public land is enough?
